Privacy Policy

This policy explains what personal data Frenz (frenz.gg) processes, why, where it lives, and the rights you have, including under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Frenz is operated from the European Union; contact: privacy@frenz.gg.

What we collect, and why

Who processes it for us

Frenz runs on established infrastructure providers acting as processors under data processing agreements: Neon (database, EU), Railway (API hosting, EU West), Vercel (web hosting/CDN), Cloudflare (video storage, transcoding & delivery; DNS), LiveKit (real-time voice & streaming), and Resend (transactional email, EU region). Where data leaves the EU (for example on global CDNs), transfers rely on standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards. We do not sell personal data.

Retention

Your data stays while your account exists. Deleting a clip, video, message, or your whole account removes it from the service; residual copies in backups, caches, and CDN edges are purged on a rolling basis (typically within 30 days). Unsaved stream recordings are discarded automatically.

Your rights

Cookies

Frenz uses only strictly necessary cookies: your session (so you stay signed in) and your preferences. No third-party advertising or tracking cookies, which is why there's no cookie banner.

Children

Frenz is not directed at children under 16, and accounts require that age.

Changes

Material changes to this policy will be announced in the app before they take effect. See also the Terms of Service and the DMCA & Copyright Policy.
