The short version
Once the app is installed you never think about recording again. The whole loop is one key, a quick trim and a publish.
Download the free Frenz desktop app for Windows. It starts with Windows and lives in the tray.
Switch auto-record on and the buffer arms itself every time a known game launches. Pick a replay buffer of 15 seconds up to 2 minutes.
The last moments are saved as a clip and land as a private draft on your profile. Nothing goes public yet.
Cut the clip to the good part, tag the squad members who were in the moment and publish when you choose.
The desktop app
The app does the remembering so you can play. Everything below ships in the free Windows app.
The recent past is always recorded. Choose how much F9 saves: 15 seconds, 30 seconds, 1 minute or 2 minutes.
Press F9 the second something happens. The buffer means the moment was recorded before you reached for the key.
Turn it on once and the app records from the tray every time a known game launches. No start button after that.
In beta. Loud moments can be saved for you, so the play you forgot to clip still lands in your drafts.
Include your microphone if you want the callouts in the clip. Noise cleanup is on by default, so keyboard and fan noise stay out.
From draft to feed
Every capture lands as a private draft on your profile. What happens next is up to you.
A clutch is rarely a solo act. Tag the squad members who were there and the clip spreads with them.
The clip publishes to your profile and your followers see it.
Tagged squad members get the clip on their profiles too.
The clip reaches the followers of everyone tagged.
Cut the clip to the moment that matters, then shape it before anyone sees it.
Publish when it looks right, or leave it sitting in drafts. Frenz never posts a capture for you.
Every published clip has one, with rich link previews when you paste it.
A view counts after 10 seconds of real watching, so your count means something.
Captures stay drafts on your profile until you decide to post them.
No app needed to post
Capture needs the Windows app. Posting does not, and the rest of Frenz runs in the browser.
Frenz works in the browser and phones use the mobile web app. Bring clips from console captures, your phone or an old folder, then trim, tag your squad and publish the same way.
